Marnys Nail is a 100% pure essential oil, obtained by steam distillation of the flower buds of Eugenia caryophyllata. This process guarantees a high quality product, undenatured and unmixed, with a profile of chemotyped (eugenol) which ensures its effectiveness and authenticity.

What is chemotype?

It corresponds to the perfectly defined qualitative and quantitative chemical composition of the components of the essential oil, which guarantees us to fully identify each one, and also the chemotype is important to ensure the quality, effectiveness and safety of the essential oil.

When essential oils are chemotyped, it means that they have a defined composition, are 100% pure and of natural origin, not denatured or mixed with other oils.

This essential oil offers a pleasant spicy, strong and slightly bitter, It has a refreshing sensation on contact, which is softened when integrated into cooked preparations. Its color varies from colorless to pale yellow, and it is noted for its spicy and penetrating aroma, ideal for both culinary and aromatic uses. It is widely used in Asian, African and Middle Eastern cuisine to enhance dishes such as meats, curries, marinades or fruit desserts. It is also ideal for infusions and hot drinks, where it combines perfectly with ingredients such as lemon and sugar, adding depth and complexity to the flavor.

What is the Clavo tree like?

The evergreen tree of the Nail is native to the Moluccas Islands, and its cultivation has spread to Tanzania, Madagascar, Brazil and other tropical regions. The shape of the tree is pyramidal 20 m high, belonging to the Myrtaceae family. The Clove is obtained from the flower buds of Eugenia caryophyllata (being a synonym the name Syzygium aromaticum) that are hand-picked before opening. The buttons are brown, about 1-1.5 cm in length, with a distinctive shape, The lower part consists of the calyx tube that encloses in its upper half the immature flower. When harvested, they should be separated from their stalk and then dried under sunlight. The taste and smell are very particular.
